The blessing of the two-classroom building is led by Rev. Fr. Florido Rosales of St. Augustine Parish, Carmen, Cebu.

Carmen Central Elementary School in Carmen, Cebu is the biggest school in Carmen with a total enrollment of 1,639 for the school year 2016-2017. The school has a backlog of five classrooms due to its increasing enrollment and the implementation of the K-12 curriculum. Through PLDT’s advocacy of providing equality learning opportunity for all, the two-classroom building is a testament of the real power of education. And how, in so many brilliant ways, it changes the lives of every Filipino.

“As I leave my alma mater with a grateful heart, it brings me so much joy and hope that my fellow students pursue their education with an unparalleled dedication. Through this new building, many students can dream bigger and brighter – all thanks to PLDT,” said Supreme Pupil Government President Chelsea Star Lawas.

One of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) by 2030 is to ensure inclusive quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. PLDT is committed to bring to reality the dream of a brighter future for all Filipinos. Together with PBSP, it recognizes the value of education as being the great equalizer among social classes. With this in mind, educational programs continue to become a priority when it comes to PLDT’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

Going to graduate school was a positive decision for me. I enjoyed the coursework, the presentations, the fellow students, and the professors. And since my company reimbursed 100% of the tuition, the only cost that I had to pay on my own was for books and supplies. Otherwise, I received a free master’s degree. All that I had to invest was my time. film streaming
