Business leader Manuel V Pangilinan celebrated his birthday on July 14 with a fun kiddie children’s party for the students of Camp Aquino Child Development Center in Tarlac, through Tulong Kapatid.
Each company under the Tulong Kapatid made the celebration lively and exciting by giving away tons of prizes, loot bags, and quality learning tools and equipment which include an air conditioner, a TV unit, desktop computers, a DVD player, storybooks, and a kiddie corner. A dental mission was also conducted by the De Los Santos Medical Center.

The Tulong Kapatid is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) consortium of the MVP Group of Companies. Among those who made the kiddie party possible for the students of the Camp Aquino Child Development Center include PLDT Community Relations, PLDT-Smart Foundation, Alagang Kapatid Foundation, One Meralco Foundation, Smart Communications, Philex Mining Corporation, Roxas Holdings, Inc., Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), Cardinal Medical Charities Foundation, Inc. (CMCFI), Makati Medical Center Foundation (MMCF), De Los Santos Medical Center, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), and MVP Sports Foundation (MVPSF).

As this year’s beneficiary, the Camp Aquino Child Development Center is a pre-school learning institution where dependents of troops as well as neighboring communities enroll their children. At the time they enjoyed the Department of Education (DepEd)'s accreditation, it subsists on a meager P400.00 monthly tuition, with an average of 60-90 students. Supporting the rehabilitation and mission of the Armed Forces Command to renew the learning institution's accreditation with DepEd, the Tulong Kapatid addresses some of the needs of our troops, particularly by responding to the educational needs of their children.

The soldiers prefer to have their children to study in the camp, which is near their homes. By working on improving the day care center, the troops aim to provide an appropriate learning environment for their children.
The Tulong Kapatid continuously supports the bravery and resilience of the country’s military. The Northern Luzon Command is the main Armed Forces Command that protects and secures North Eastern and the North Western borders of the Philippines as well as Central Luzon. The Command is housed at Camp Aquino in Tarlac.
