As the people that really count for all their years of hard work and malasakit
for the company, enthusiastic PLDT employees attended the 90th anniversary kick-off recently to meet their leaders, share the exciting surprises, take part in the fun and celebrate with their friends and colleagues.
Thanking them for their passion and malasakit
which formed the core strength of the PLDT Group, EVP and Chief Revenue Officer Eric A. Alberto said, “For all that we have been and all that we aspire to be for our customers, it’s really You our employees who are behind everything. It’s You that counts.”
Alberto also said we have to go beyond telecoms so we have to bundle our services: “We should be the preferred digital services provider. As the future in technology evolves, so must we.”
During the Q&A with employees, PLDT Chairman and CEO Manny V Pangilinan pointed out that we want to be number one in profitability, “You should regain the lost glory of PLDT.”
On the upcoming arrival of a third telco competitor, Pangilinan said it would depend on who the foreign and local telco partner will be. He allayed employees’ anxieties: “Huwag kayong matakot.
PLDT and Smart have the advantage!”
One of the highlights at the anniversary kick-off was the unveiling of the new 15-in-1 Super ID card. PLDT, Smart and Sun employees will be the first to experience the super ID that will empower them in their everyday lives.
Apart from being a Company ID, it can be used for so many other purposes, including access to premises/security tap, time-in/time-out, MasterCard/cashless transactions, Loyalty Card with exciting promos, ATM Card, Health Card, allowances and incentives, reimbursements, travel card (cash advance), buy load, bills payments, online shopping, send money to anyone and remittance.
The employees were entertained by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid with her memorable songs. They were also treated to a snack of burgers, apple pies and drinks.
Celebrating with PLDT are mobile subsidiaries Smart and Sun, on their 25th and 15th milestone anniversaries, respectively.
